We have been playing around with some made-up letterpress wedding programs. We went with a deep purple color, printed on 220 lb. white crane lettra (which is super-thick, like a coaster at a restaurant). It is bound together with an eggplant satin ribbon, which is hot-cut to avoid fraying. I didn’t have plates ready for the inside pages, but the “real” die cut letterpress wedding programs would have 4 sheets total. The first page would be like the one shown here. The second page would be the ceremony, the third page the wedding party and the last page would be any special thanks, dedication, directions to the reception, or whatever else you would want to include.
I’ll try to post some better pictures tomorrow that show the detail of the imprint better. You can’t even see how it is pressed into the paper in this picture.
