Real Wedding: Holli + Joseph
Today’s real wedding is the wedding of one of our very own Wiregrass Weddings Diva. Since she’s one of us, I thought I’d invite Holli to tell you about her own wedding!
Hey all you lovely blog readers! I got married on March 9 of this year in Point Clear, Alabama. I got married in Sacred Heart Chapel, which is on the bay and absolutely beautiful! I remember the weather being perfecto. We are really simple people, who love being creative, so that was at the heart of what we wanted our wedding to reflect. Us, along with our super creative friends, pretty much made everything ourselves—from our wedding food to our wall decorations. My bridesmaid, friend and photographer Chelsea from Crazy Love Studios made my wedding veil and did my hair and makeup (and took these pictures); my aunt arranged our bouquets; and Wiregrass Weddings (of course) made our awesome wedding programs.
I have a lot of details I love about our wedding, but probably one of my favorites was our wedding colors: red, teal and yellow. We had our wedding party choose their own outfits (within our color scheme) and we love how everyone looked all together! I was pretty glad because I guess theirs always a risk of weirdness when you mismatch things. Another was our food. A make your own sandwich bar, a variety of potlucked soups in crockpots, several homemade cakes and a popcorn bar! Anyway, I hope you like our wedding!
